Apagon App
A quick way to report power outages
Apagón is a crowdsourcing app for reporting power outages. Users can report power status quickly and effortlessly. The app visualizes the crowdsource reports in a map to provide situational awareness to the community of users. Apagón was develop in response to the poor data infrastructure set in place by government to document and track citizen’s power outage after Hurricane María. The design of the app is simple, aiming for quick action from users in situation of distress.

Hyperion is a financial services app built around dual money transmitter rails. The app uses a combination of decentralized finance (DeFi) and the traditional banking network rail to help small business start their business and charge customers.

PREPA App
PREPA App reimagines mobile customer service for a public utility company.
PREPA, one of the largest power utilities in the territorial United States, requested my company Qualtics LLC to build an iOS and Android customer service app that could support all of the services they offered in their web app. The app organizes the complexity of the services into cards that are discoverable.

Apagón ANS
Apagon Alert Notification System (ANS) is a web app for sending notifications and visualizing power outages. The web app interacts with the Apagon iOS and Android apps, operated by Apagon LLC. The web apps first version was quickly constructed to have the ability to send emergency notifications to all users. The new notification system provides better situational awareness of power outage trends through better mapping and visualization design.

PREPA CRM
PREPA CRM is a customer relation manager app for managing user-submitted information via the mobile app. The web app visualizes each premise with its outage state, filtering users geographically and temporally. The web app can also send template notifications to iOS and Android users. Customer service agents can further customize notifications to customers and send user-specific messages.

Zoning Translator
Vivacity’s Zoning Translator is a web SaaS app that helps city planners turn their zoning code into machine-readable code. The tool allows for pairing standardized values with zoning chapters, accepting or rejecting translation, and keeping a record of conversations and interpretations. It also keeps track of progress via a summary dashboard.

Property Portal
Vivacity’s Property Portal is a web SaaS app for understanding a city’s building and zoning regulations. The web app was built as the first MVP product for my company Vivacity. The app centralizes all information available about a property in NYC, including NYC’s zoning code which is notorious for being hard to navigate and interpret. Properties can be searched using an address search bar. The app organizes the complexity of the multiple datasets using discoverable menus.

Air Rights
Vivacity’s Air Rights Database is a web app that visualizes available development opportunities. After developing Vivacity’s Property Portal, users requested a platform to understand leftover square feet not developed in a property. A property owner can sell these excess square feet of development to other adjacent property owners or sell them within a marketplace. In New York City, these are called Air Rights.
